Shilov Alexander Maksovich (1943, Moscow).
Painter, graphic artist, portraitist. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Honored Artist of the RSFSR. People's Artist of the USSR, RSFSR. Member of the Russian Academy of Arts. In 1957–1962 he studied at the art studio of the House of Pioneers in the Timiryazevsky district of Moscow. In 1968-1973 he studied at the Moscow State Art Institute named after. V.I. Surikov. The diploma work included 4 portraits of cosmonauts (A.V. Shatalov and others). Since 1971, he took part in all-Union, republican, exhibitions in Moscow - (“Artists for the 50th anniversary of the founding of the USSR”, “Soviet portrait”, “Young Guard of the Country of Soviets”, “To the 70th anniversary of the October Revolution”, “Youth of Russia”, etc.). Awarded the orders “For Services to the Fatherland” III, IV degrees, Peter the Great, Francis Skaryna, St. Alexander Nevsky I degrees, “For Labor and Fatherland” I degrees, “For Professional and Business Reputation” II degrees, “For Services to Moscow”, “Golden Star of Russia”, “Pride of Russia”, the Order of Honor, medals and other awards. In 1997, Shilov’s personal gallery was opened in the center of Moscow. His personal exhibitions were held in Russia, France, Germany, Portugal, Canada, Japan, Kuwait, UAE, Yugoslavia, and Belarus.
