Solomin Nikolai Konstantinovich (1916, Moscow - 1999, Moscow).
People's Artist of the RSFSR. In 1936 he graduated from the Isotechnicum in memory of 1905, a student of N.P. Krymova. Later he studied at the Moscow State Art Institute. V.I. Surikov at S.V. Gerasimova, G.G. Ryazhsky, M.F. Shemyakina. Participant of exhibitions since 1950. Restored Roubaud's Sevastopol panorama (1954). A talented portrait painter, faithful to the traditions of academic painting, the author of numerous natural landscapes. For many years he was a member of the governing organizations of the Moscow Union of Artists of the RSFSR, the Union of Artists of the RSFSR and the USSR. He fulfilled numerous government orders for thematic paintings and created a portrait gallery of his contemporaries. The artist's works are kept in the State Tretyakov Gallery and many regional museums, as well as in private collections in France and Japan.
