Rudakov M.Z. - Asters. Bouquet.. Year:  1960s Technique:  Watercolor on paper. Size:  41х29. Rudakov Mikhail Zakharyevich (1914, Poltava province - 1985, Moscow).  Honored Artist of the RSFSR. He studied at the Kharkov Art and Industry Institute (1933-1935). During the Great Patriotic War he fought and worked in the editorial office of the newspaper “Soviet Patriot”. He was repressed and rehabilitated in 1957. He worked in book graphics, periodicals, and was the chief artist at the Kotlas Drama Theater. In Moscow he worked as an artist at Reklamfilm, at the publishing houses Molodaya Gvardiya, Progress, and Khudozhestvennaya Literatura. He illustrated the poetry of A. Blok, F. Villon, the novel by Apuleius “The Golden Ass”, “Evenings on a Farm near Dikanka” by N.V. Gogol, S. Maugham’s novel “The Moon and a Penny.” After a trip to Spain in 1979, the Spanish theme occupied an important place in the artist’s work. The artist’s personal exhibitions were held in Moscow in 1979 and 1982.
