Mazanov L.N. - Garden in bloom.. Year:  1951 - 1957 Technique:  Oil on canvas. Size:  49х70. Mazanov Leonty Nikiforovich (1902, Rostov-on-Don - 1982, Moscow).  Graduated from VKHUTEIN in 1927. Was influenced by K.S. Petrov-Vodkin and I.I. Brodsky. In 1919 he graduated from the Rostov Art School. In 1920 he participated in the “First Soviet Art Exhibition, Rostov-on-Don” in Moscow. Moved to Moscow. Worked at the VTU of the Red Army. He was one of the first to join the Moscow Union of Artists, formed in 1932. A regular participant in group exhibitions at the Manege Central Exhibition Hall and on Kuznetsky Most. Mazanov’s personal exhibitions were held in the Moscow workers’ club “Clubkor” (1935) and in the Exhibition Hall of the Union of Artists on Kuznetsky Most (1979). Under the influence of A.A. Plastov in Mazanov’s works of the 1940s. impressionistic features appeared.
