Romadin N.M. - Blooming lilac.. Technique:  Oil on cardboard. Size:  33,7x51. Romadin Nikolai Mikhailovich (1903, Samara - 1987, Moscow).  People's Artist of the USSR. Full member of the USSR Academy of Arts. Winner of the Stalin Prize for the series of landscapes “Volga - Russian River” (1946), winner of the Lenin Prize 1980 for a series of landscapes. He studied at the Samara Art College, then in Moscow at VKHUTEMAS/VKHUTEIN (1923 - 1930) with R.R. Falka, I.I. Mashkova, A.D. Wood. Since 1929 - member of the AHRR. He was a member of the group of young artists ROST. Participant of exhibitions since 1931. In 1930 he painted mainly genre scenes. Since 1938, lyrical landscapes have become the main theme. He adopted the ideological principles of the “Union of Russian Artists”, which sought to transform the natural impression into a symbolic “Image of Russia”. The works of N. M. Romadin are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, and the Australian Museum of Art in Melbourne.
