Oboznenko Dmitry Georgievich 1930 (Leningrad) -2002 (St. Petersburg)  Soviet painter, graphic artist, Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1987). Member of the St. Petersburg Union of Artists (1957), representative of the Leningrad school of painting. In 1951 he entered the first year of the painting department of the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I. E. Repin. He studied with teachers Vladimir Gorb, Valery Pimenov, Vitaly Valtsev, Rudolf Frenz. In 1957 he graduated from the institute in the workshop of Professor Joseph Serebryany. He painted portraits, genre and battle compositions, landscapes, and sketches from life. He was engaged in satirical graphics. He worked in the techniques of oil and tempera painting and drawing. The works are in the State Russian Museum, the State Tretyakov Gallery, in museums and private collections in Russia, Germany, Great Britain, France, the USA, Italy and other countries.
