Sculptor, graphic artist. Honored Artist of the RSFSR, Member of the Academy of Artists of the Russian Federation. Graduated from architectural courses E.F. Bagaeva, Polytechnic Institute (1914), PGSKhUM (1921), Vkhutemas - Vkhuteine (1925). Participated in the sculptural design of the Central Park of Culture and Culture named after. CM. Kirov in Leningrad (1930s), State Library. V.I. Lenin in Moscow (1930s), underground stations of the Moscow metro ”Dynamo” (1937), ”Serpukhovskaya” (1950), tombstones of ballet dancers V.D. Tikhomirov and L.M. Lavrovsky, actor I.N. Berseneva (1950-60s). She created a series of seven sculptures on the theme of the ballets “Swan Lake”, “Bakhchisarai Fountain”, “Romeo and Juliet”, “Egyptian Nights” (1934–1937). She made figurines for the Leningrad Porcelain Factory (1950s: “Sitting Giray”, “Girey with a Cloak”, “Zarema with a Mirror”, “Zarema with a Dagger”, “Seated Mary”, “Mary with a Scarf” and others). Also known is a series of busts of Soviet writers dating back to 1934. Since 1925 he has participated in various exhibitions; personal exhibitions were held in Moscow and Leningrad.
