After the war, he created a unique gallery of images of front-line soldiers in peaceful labor. In 1995, in Perpignan (France), at the International Festival of Photojournalism, Evgeniy Khaldey was awarded the most honorable award in the art world - the title “Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters.” In 1997, the book “Witness to History” was published.
