Borodulin Lev Abramovich (1923 - 2018)  Photographer, master of sports photography. Graduate of the Moscow Printing Institute. I started taking up photography after finishing my studies. He became the first photographer in the USSR to use a fisheye lens. The first publication took place in 1947 in the student newspaper ”Stalin's Printer”. In 1950 - 1960 he worked as a photographer in the editorial office of the Ogonyok magazine. He photographed sporting events, including major international ones, held abroad. In the 1960s, Borodulin became the undisputed leader of Soviet sports photography. The “Photography Year Book” in 1964 recognized Lev Borodulin as a “star” of world photography. In 1967, the Japanese newspaper Asahi recognized Lev Borodulin as the best photographer of the year. In 1971, in Munich, Lev Borodulin was awarded an Olympic gold medal for his achievements in the field of sports photography. Works by Borodulin L.A. are in many private collections and appear at international auctions at Sotheby's, Christie's, Bonhams and Swann.
