Honored Artist of Russia. In 1960 he graduated from the Institute of Painting and Sculpture. I.E. Repin from the workshop of Professor I.A. Silver. Participant of zonal, republican, regional, city, and foreign exhibitions since 1960. Held more than 17 personal exhibitions in Russia, England, and Norway. In 1981 he was awarded a diploma from the Academy of Arts, as well as diplomas from the Ministry of Culture of Russia and the Russian Union of Artists. In 1968 he was elected chairman of the Novgorod branch of the Union of Artists. The artist’s works are in many regional museums, as well as in private collections in Russia and abroad.
