Sachkov V.V. - Naked.. Year:  1970s Technique:  Charcoal on paper. Size:  58х41,5. Sachkov Vladimir Vasilievich (1928-2005). Soviet graphic artist, poster artist. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1957). Graduated from the Penza Art School named after K. A. Savitsky (1948), Moscow State Art Institute named after V. I. Surikov (1954). He worked in various publishing houses in Moscow, including the Krokodil magazine. In the 1950-1960s, he created film posters for many films, such as “The Twelve Chairs”, “Soldier Ivan Brovkin”, “Mimino”, “The Irony of Fate or Enjoy Your Bath”, “Quiet Don”, “Stalker”, “Big Life”. In the 1970s and 80s, the main thing in Sachkov’s work was the socio-political poster. He actively collaborated with the publishing houses “Fine Arts”, “Agitplakat” and “Plakat”. Some of the most famous works of this period: “In a storm of storms whirling flames” (1966), “Winter morning” (1969), “September 1 - back to school” (1970), “Five-year plan for quality - our labor victories” (1975), “Good care - income for the collective farm.” Participant of republican, all-Union and international exhibitions, his works have been awarded diplomas, prizes, medals and other awards. The works of V.V. Sachkov are in many Russian museums and private collections.
