Modorov Nikolai Nikolaevich (born 1927, Vladimir region - 1989, Vladimir). In 1951 he graduated from the Mstera Art School, in 1957 from the Leningrad Higher Art and Industrial School named after V.I. Mukhina. Member of the Union of Artists since 1965. One of the founders of the Vladimir school of landscape painting, the founder of the direction of urban industrial landscape in Vladimir. Participant of exhibitions in Moscow (1964, 1967), Smolensk (1969), Ivanovo (1974), Ryazan (1980), Kostroma (1985); Republican exhibitions “Soviet Russia” in Moscow (1960, 1964, 1967, 1970, 1975, 1980, 1985). Works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, Russian and foreign museums, private collections in Russia, Italy, France, Germany, Japan; corporate collections (Mezhregiongaz, former collection of Inkombank).
