Expertize:  Certificate by the Center of Artistic Expertise named after I.E. Repin. Anisfeld Boris (Ber) Izrailevich (1878, Balti, Bessarabia - 1973, Waterford, USA). Painter, theater artist and graphic artist. Studied at the Academy of Arts under D.N. Kardovsky, I.E. Repina. Member of the ”World of Art” society, exhibited at all its exhibitions until 1917. Created theatrical scenery for the theater V.F. Komissarzhevskaya, for productions of the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg. In 1905-1906 drew for the satirical magazines ”Hell Mail” and ”Bug”. Performed illustrations for books. In 1917 he left for the USA, worked as an artist at the Metropolitan Opera and Chicago Opera. He taught at the Art Institute of Chicago. The artist's works were exhibited at the art center in New York, at the Art Institute of Chicago, and took part in group exhibitions of Russian artists in Paris, New York, Pittsburgh, and London. In 1994, an exhibition of works by B.A. Anisfeld took place at the Museum of Theater and Musical Art in St. Petersburg. Anisfeld's works are stored in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, and the State Central Theater Museum named after. A.A. Bakhrushin, in the Museum of the Bolshoi Theater of Moscow.
