One of the brightest representatives of the Moscow impressionist school of painting. He studied at the Art School “In Memory of 1905”. He also graduated from the Art Studio at the Moscow Union of Artists (Moscow Art Institute), where he studied under the guidance of A.M. Konevsky. In 1935 he entered the Institute. V.I. Surikov, where I. Grabar, A. Osmyorkin, P. Shemyakin, B. Ioganson taught at that time. He was close to the artistic circle, which included A. Lentulov, V. Favorsky, A. Deineka, S. Gerasimov, G. Ryazhsky. During the war, together with other students of the institute, he was evacuated to Uzbekistan, where he worked under the leadership of S. Gerasimov. Formed as a plein air painter. Since 1946 he has participated in major art exhibitions.
