Descripton:  Signed lower right. Pivovarov Viktor Dmitrievich (born 1937, Moscow). Artist, graphic artist, classic of Moscow conceptualism. Graduated from the Moscow Art and Industrial College named after. Kalinin (1957), Moscow Printing Institute (1962). He illustrated children's books and collaborated with the magazines ”Murzilka” and ”Funny Pictures”. Famous works: a series of monotypes “The Temptation of St. Anthony” (1967), “Blue Glasses of a Mad Policeman”, twelve albums: “Makrogomus”, “Tears”, “Face”, “Garden”, “Kabakov and Pivovarov”, “Projects for a Lonely Man” and others. Also, the NLO publishing house in Moscow published two books of essay-memoirs of the artist - “Agent in Love” (2001) and “Gray Notebooks” (2002) and a collection of critical articles “On the Love of Words and Images” (2004). The artist’s personal exhibitions were held in Moscow, Czechoslovakia, and Sweden. His works are in museums and private collections in Russia, the Czech Republic, Germany, etc.
