Yankilevsky V.B. - [Collector's item] Vase ”Psychoanalysis of Aphrodite”.. Year: 2009 Technique: Overglaze painting on porcelain. Size: 45x34. Descripton: A vase hand-painted by Vladimir Yankilevsky. The bottom bears the artist's signature, date, inscription, and the manufacturer's trademark. Expertize: Certificate of V.S. Silaev. Yankilevsky Vladimir Borisovich (1938 - 2018). Studied at the Moscow Art School (1949–1956). Simultaneously with his studies at the Polygraphic Institute (1957-62), he studied at the E.M. studio school. Belutina. He began exhibiting his things together with other “Belyutinites”; he was an eyewitness to the scandal in the Manege in 1962, when N.S. Khrushchev attacked the avant-garde artists with abuse. In the same year, he organized his first personal exhibition (together with E.I. Neizvestny) at Moscow State University on the Lenin Hills. Since 1965 he has shown his works abroad (starting from Poland and Italy). In the 1960s, his unique surreal style emerged, embodying conflicts and mutual penetration of the human and technogenic worlds. The works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, and the Pushkin Museum. A.S. Pushkin.
