Awards: State Prize of the Russian Federation, gold medal “Worthy” of the Russian Academy of Arts, awards “Golden Sofit”, “Petropol”, “Golden Mask”, Order of Friendship, badge “For Contribution to Russian Culture”. He studied at the Secondary Art School at the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. Repina. Since 1962 he took part in exhibitions. In 1967 he founded the group of artists “Petersburg”.
