Fedorov S.F. - Forest landscape.. Year:  Late XIX-early XX centuries. Technique:  Oil on canvas. Size:  44х31. Descripton:  Signed lower left. Expertize:  Certificate of Scientific Research Independent Center of Expertise named after A. Benois. Fedorov Semyon Fedorovich (1867-1910). He entered military service, during which he studied painting as an amateur. The President of the Academy of Arts, Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich, having seen her work, ordered Fedorov to be transferred to the reserve and accepted into the Academy of Arts as a student of I.I. Shishkina. He painted sketches at Siverskaya station, in the vicinity of the Valaam Monastery, in Finland, Nizhny Novgorod. He took part in the Russian-Japanese War, where he was seriously wounded. He died from the consequences of his wound in Nizhny Novgorod. His posthumous exhibition took place in St. Petersburg at the Autumn Exhibition. The artist's paintings were repeatedly reproduced in the pre-revolutionary press. The artist's works are in many museum collections and private collections in Russia.
