Honored Worker of Culture of the People's Republic of Poland. Landscape painter. Genre writer. Author of works on historical and revolutionary topics. Nikolai Ivanovich Osenev was born in 1909 in Moscow. Studied at the Moscow State Art Institute. V.I. Surikov (since 1938, with interruptions) with S. V. Gerasimov, I. E. Grabar, A. A. Deineka. Participant of art exhibitions since 1949. The beginning of the 1950s - active work in the open air. By the mid-1950s, he was a well-known master of compositional landscape paintings. In the 1960s, he traveled abroad (England, Italy, France, Sweden, Iraq, etc.) and wrote a series of works related to them (mainly architectural and landscape motifs). The works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow; Penza Art Gallery and other museums and private collections.
