Tsyplakov V.G. - Morning sun.. Year: 1981. Size: 50x69. Technique: Oil on canvas on cardboard. Tsyplakov Viktor Grigorievich (1915, Ryazan region - 1986, Moscow). People's Artist of the RSFSR, Corresponding Member of the USSR Academy of Arts, Honored Artist of the RSFSR, twice laureate of the USSR Stalin Prize (1949, 1950). Born in the Ryazan region in 1915. Studied in the workshop of G.M. Shegal, since 1932 - at the Printing College in Moscow, at the Moscow State Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov. Since 1947 - head of a personal workshop, since 1948 - leading teacher, since 1962 - professor. MGHI. The history of Soviet painting includes large thematic canvases: “A.M. Gorky on the Volga” (1945), ”V.I. Lenin with the peasants” (1959), ”V.I. Lenin in Smolny”. Together with V.P. Efanov, S.I. Dudnik and Yu.P. Kugach fulfilled the state order “Advanced People in the Kremlin”. He painted portraits and landscapes. Personal exhibitions: 1956 – Moscow, 1986 – Moscow. Works by V.G. Tsyplakov are kept in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the State Museum of Fine Arts named after A.S. Pushkin and other major museums and galleries of the world.
