Chebakov N.N. - Horse.. Year: 1950s. Technique: Oil on canvas. Size: 47х62. Chebakov Nikita Nikanorovich (1916, Altai - 1968, Moscow). Laureate of the USSR State Prize in 1951. From 1932 he studied at the Omsk Art College, then at VGIK with F.S. Bogorodsky, Yu.I. Pimenov (1939-1948). While studying at the institute, he participated in the development of compositional solutions for S. Eisenstein’s film “Ivan the Terrible”. Participant of All-Union art exhibitions since 1948. Known for his painting “Speech by V.I. Lenin at the III Komsomol Congress, ” for which he was awarded the USSR State Prize. The artist’s works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, and in many Russian museums.
