Full member of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan. Honored Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, member of the creative association of artists of Uzbekistan. He graduated from the Tashkent Theater and Art Institute. Ostrovsky is a set designer by profession. He is the author of numerous cycles of paintings about Khiva and Urgench. The author's works are represented in the Museum of Modern Art of Uzbekistan, as well as in private collections in Uzbekistan and Russia.
