Descripton: Signed lower left.The work comes from the collection of Boris Vasilyevich Trizno family (Soviet flutist, Honored Artist). Khodasevich Valentina Mikhailovna (1894, Moscow - 1970, Moscow). Painter, theater artist, memoirist. Niece of the famous poet and prose writer V. Khodasevich. She studied at the art studios of F. Rerberg (Moscow, 1908-1910), Essig (Munich, 1910-1911), K. Van Dongen (Paris, 1911-1912). From 1919 to 1922 artist of the ”People's Comedy” theater. She designed performances in theaters in Moscow and Leningrad, including the Bolshoi Drama Theater, the Alexandrinsky Theater, and the Mariinsky Theater. She played a prominent role in the formation of a new type of design for variety performances and numbers. The artist’s works are kept in museums in Moscow, St. Petersburg, many regional museums, as well as in private collections in Russia and abroad.
