Grabar All-Russia Art Scientific Centre of Restoration.  Zankovsky Ilya Nikolaevich (1832 – 1919). He studied at the Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg (1862 – 1863). After graduating from the Academy of Arts, he went to the Caucasus. Since 1888, he participated in many exhibitions of the Caucasian Society for the Promotion of Fine Arts, the Society for Mutual Aid of Caucasian Artists, the Society of Russian Watercolorists, etc. Since the late 1880s. taught at the Drawing School of the Caucasian Society for the Promotion of Fine Arts and at the School of Painting and Sculpture. The artist’s works are in the State Russian Museum, in many regional museums, as well as in private collections in Russia and abroad.
