Moore D.S. - Alarm clock.. Year: The beginning of the 20th century. Technique: Poster. Size: 33х53. Descripton: Caricature for the satirical magazine ”Alarm Clock” (published in 1865-1917). Moor Dmitry Stakhievich (1883, Novocherkassk - 1946, Moscow). Outstanding Soviet graphic artist and poster artist. Honored Artist (1932). He did not receive a systematic art education; in 1910 he attended the school-studio of P.I. Kelin. Initially he worked at the Mamontovskaya printing house. Since 1907, he published his cartoons in print (most often in the liberal satirical magazine Alarm Clock). He taught at Vkhutemas-Vkhutein (1922-30), the Moscow Printing Institute (1930-32) and the Moscow Art Institute (1939-43). In the 20s worked in the ”Windows of Satire ROSTA” in the 40s. made posters for TASS Windows. The artist’s works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Museum of V.V. Mayakovsky.
