Tolkunov N.P. - Hurzuf.. Year:  1968. Technique:  Oil on canvas. Size:  60х80. Tolkunov Nikolai Pavlovich (1917, Novosurino, Moscow region - 1996). Painter, Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1974), member of the Union of Artists of Russia (since 1943). He studied at the Moscow Polygraphic College (1931-1935), then at the V. I. Surikov Moscow State Art Institute (1936-1942) in the workshop of S. V. Gerasimov, among his teachers were also P. D. Pokarzhevsky and V. V. Pochitalov; graduated from the institute with honors and was enrolled in graduate school. Since 1938, he participated in All-Union, republican, Moscow, All-Russian and regional exhibitions, in the 1970s and 1980s he was a member of the Association of 12 Moscow Impressionist Painters and participated in its exhibitions in Moscow (1979 and 1982). N.P.Tolkunov's works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Museum of the Armed Forces and the Museum of the History of the city of Moscow, in museums in Krasnoyarsk and Vladimir, as well as in private collections in Russia, the USA, Italy, France, Greece and Spain.
