Boris Vladimirovich Preobrazhensky (1910 – 1995) Soviet artist. Honored Worker of Culture of the RSFSR (1974), laureate of the I.E. Repin State Prize of the RSFSR, and awarded the M.B. Grekov Silver Medal (1979). From 1927 to 1930, he studied at the Penza Art School under I.S. Goryushkin-Sorokopudov. From 1932, he regularly participated in city, regional, and international exhibitions. From 1943 to 1945, he was a member of the M.B. Grekov Studio of War Artists, where he served in the military as a war artist. The author's works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the Central Museum of the Armed Forces, the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, the State Historical Museum and other museum and private collections.
