Soviet and Russian artist, painter, landscape painter. Member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 1981. He studied at the secondary art school at the I.E.Repin Institute (1965 - 1971). In 1971 he entered the Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, studied at the painting faculty in the workshop of Professor V.M.Oreshnikov. After graduating from the Institute in 1977, he worked in the creative workshop at the Academy of Arts in the workshop of V.M.Oreshnikov (1978 - 1981). Since 1977, he has been a regular participant in Leningrad, republican, Russian and foreign exhibitions, including the exhibition ”60 years of the St. Petersburg Union of Artists”, seasonal exhibitions of the Union of Artists. He has exhibited in Alexandria, Richmond, Birmingham, and Atlanta (USA). Participates in creative trips, art symposiums and plein-airs in Russia, Italy, China, Finland, the USA and other countries. The works are in the collections of the Museum of the History of the City (St. Petersburg), the Zoological Museum (St. Petersburg), the Mineralogical Museum (Mias, Russia), the Art Museum (Polyarny, Russia), the Historical and Art Museum (Andijan, Uzbekistan), the Art Museum (Kiev, Ukraine). And also in galleries in Birmingham, Hamburg, London, Nuremberg, Orvietto, Helsinki, Sevastopol. The artist's works have been repeatedly sold at Russian and foreign auctions, including the Christie's auction in London and the Stall in Hamburg. His works are in private collections in Russia, the USA, England, China, Germany, Israel, France.
