Royal Navy WWI and WWII Medal Group of Six to Able Seaman J.W. Thorpe, J.36295, with Ephemera - A historically significant group of ten components attributed to Able Seaman J.W. Thorpe, Royal Navy (Service No. J.36295), detailing service across both World War I and World War II. The core of the lot is a court-mounted medal bar containing six military decorations: the 1914-15 Star, the British War Medal, the Victory Medal, the 1939-45 Star, the Defence Medal, and the War Medal 1939-45. The British War Medal is confirmed to be rim-engraved with the recipient's details, J.36295 J.W. Thorpe. Accompanying the medal group is a vintage round, metal-cased pocket watch featuring a white dial and subsidiary seconds hand. Also included is a WWII-era Supplementary Clothing Book (SC/V/B) issued to Thorpe, J.W., which contains twenty intact, uncut clothing coupons on the exposed inner page.
