Antique Mahogany Neoclassical Bedside Cabinet or Pot Cupboard - A single antique bedside cabinet, commonly referred to in the market as a pot cupboard or chevet, executed in dark-stained mahogany or similar hardwood. The form displays Neoclassical or Empire stylistic characteristics, featuring a tall, rectangular body resting on a stepped plinth base. The front is fitted with a single hinged door with a recessed panel, flanked by sections of vertical reeding. The top surface is fitted with a decorative, pierced brass gallery rail along the rear and side edges. The door is secured by a decorative brass ring pull handle and escutcheon. The interior cavity contains two fixed wooden shelves. No visible maker’s marks are present.
