Antique French Composite Oil Lamp, Blue Glass and Rococo Revival Metal Base - A single antique composite oil lamp, likely French and dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. The lamp features a ribbed, bulbous fuel font constructed of turquoise blue glass. This font is set upon a multi-part standard composed of a central turned column of figured wood, possibly burl, joined by metal components to a heavy, ornate base. The base is cast in silver-toned metal in the Rococo Revival style and rests on four scrolled feet. The lamp is complete with a metal burner mechanism featuring decorative piercings and a plain cylindrical clear glass chimney.
