G-Plan Librenza Mid-Century Modern Four-Drawer Chest - A single Mid-Century Modern chest of drawers attributed to the Librenza range by E. Gomme for G-Plan, circa 1950s. The rectangular case is constructed of wood finished with a dark, reddish-brown veneer, consistent with teak or tola wood used in the Librenza line. The chest features four full-width drawers, each fitted with two small, brass-toned C-shaped pull handles, totaling eight handles. The chest is supported by a contrasting black-painted stretcher frame resting on tapered legs finished with brass-toned caps or feet. The design is characteristic of British post-war furniture production.
