Watson & Co Military Sighting Scope No. 625 and Fitted Transport Case - A vintage sighting telescope, likely military issue, manufactured by or modified by Watson & Co (Aviation Instruments and Manufacturing Organisation). The body is clearly marked ”MODIFIED WA AVIMO P” and ”No. 625.” The scope is housed in its original fitted wooden transport or storage case. The case is constructed of stained hardwood with simple metal hinges and hook-and-loop closures. The interior of the case is lined with wood and strips of green material, and the inner lid bears the stenciled marking ”V.3-9.” The overall design is consistent with military optical equipment of the early to mid-20th century, potentially used for gunnery or observation.
