The bowls are constructed from the proprietary composite material Jaquelite, finished in a dark brown or black color. Each spherical bowl features impressed concentric rings and an outer border of repeated punched circular decoration surrounding the central plug. Visible markings impressed into the material include JAQUELITE, JAQUES, LONDON, MADE IN ENGLAND, and BIAS, which indicates the direction of throw. One bowl clearly displays the size marking 'S'. The central plug features a faded circular red and white paper label/insert, likely depicting a pictorial crest.
