Vintage Oak School Desk and Associated Chair, Early 20th Century - A vintage school desk and associated chair set, comprising two items. The desk is executed in dark-stained oak and features a traditional lift-top design, revealing an interior storage compartment. The underside of the desk lid functions as a slate chalkboard, exhibiting faint white chalk markings. The desk structure includes a pencil groove along the top rear edge and is marked with a stylized, gold-toned letter “D” emblem visible on the exterior right side support. The accompanying child-sized chair features a slatted wood seat and is structurally reinforced along the front legs and apron with riveted, curved metal banding. This style of desk is typically attributed to school furniture production of the 1920s or 1930s.
