Large Dresden Porcelain Banquet Lamp, Late 19th Century - Outstanding and richly decorated Dresden porcelain banquet lamp, the base in baluster form with elaborate Rococo scrolls, raised on a tripod foot with curling supports. The surface is finely hand-painted with floral bouquets in vivid enamels, highlighted gilt accents and jeweled cobalt-blue beading. The font is decorated in complementary floral sprays and gilded scrollwork, surmounted by a forsted glass globe shade painted with delicate trailing vines. Marked on inside. Needs rewiring. 33 in.
