Fine Set of 20 Louis XV Style Carved Walnut Chairs - Comprising 2 open-arm fauteuils and 18 side chairs, this elegant suite is executed in the Louis XV style with finely carved walnut frames featuring molded serpentine crests, floral and foliate carving, and cabriole legs terminating in scroll feet. The set is upholstered in a rich golden-yellow damask with a stylized fruit and floral motif, trimmed with brass nailhead edging. Upholstery presents in excellent condition in a silk-blend damask in rich golden-yellow ground, with floral pattterns and brocaded fruiting and floral sprays in naturalistic colours; frames are solid and retain a warm patina.
