The right drawer retains its original lead-lined wine cellarette interior, designed for storing bottles and cooling wine, a rare survival that adds to the piece's desirability. The sideboard's proportions, reeded legs, and inlaid decoration reflect the refined taste of early American cabinetmaking, likely from the Mid-Atlantic region.
