Rare Victorian Walnut Marble-Top Cheval Dresser, Stamped Huckley & Bancroft, Boston - Outstanding Victorian walnut cheval dresser, stamped by Buckley & Bancroft, Furniture & Upholstry Goods, Opposite U.S. Hotel Boston. With central large central mirrored back framed by a boldly arched and carved crest with grape and leaf motif. Flanking the mirror are gracefully scrolled supports with small display shelves. Below, the case is fitted with twin banks of drawers, each topped with inset white marble surfaces, and adorned with applied walnut pulls carved in grape clsuters. The base is raised on casters for mobility. A fine and substantial example of Eastlake-influenced Victorian craftmenship. 72 in. H, 52 in. W, 20 in. D
