Pair of Royal Vienna Porcelian Charges, Cobalt and Gilt Borders - Superb pair of Royal Vienna hand-painted porcelain plates, each centered with a figural scene in the romantic style. One depicts three classical maidens in flowing drapery, while the other shows frolicking putti. Both are framed within rich cobalt blue borders overliad with intricate raised gilt foliate scrollwork, a style closely associated with Dresden and Vienna porcelain decoration. The undersides bear a faint underglaze blue mark (illegible), further suggesting Continental manufacture. 12 in. D
