Wave Crest Powder Box, C.F. Monroe Co., Late 19th Century - Lovely Wavie crest powder box, the opal glass body with a soft pink shading to white and decorated with raised scrollwork in relief. The lid is hand painted with a central floral bouquet in polychrome enamels, surrounded by molded rococo-style designs. Retains original gilt metal hinge and fittings. Marked on the underside in red with the Wave Crest trademark used by the C.F. Monroe Company of Meriden, Conn. 4 in. H, 7 in. R
