Pair Chinese Sancai-Glazed Pottery Elders, Early to Mid-20th Century - A pair of charming Chinese pottery figure of elderly scholars, one holding a basket and the other a scroll, both finished in vibrant Sancai-style glazes of turquoise, amber, and deep cobalt blue. The expressive modeling and soft crackled glaze typify mid-century export ceramics inspired by Tang and Ming dynasty traditions. Each approx. 7½–8 in. H. Condition: Good overall with minor glaze losses and surface crazing consistent with age.
