Chinese Painted and Gilt Lacquer Cabinet, Late Qing Dynasty, Late 19th-Century - A finely constructed two-door cabinet, richly decorated with gilt landscapes, figures, and animals on a red lacquer ground, framed by black lacquer borders incised with repeating geometric motifs. The frieze and apron display scrolling foliate designs, and the front doors retain their original bronze circular lockplate. The piece stands on straight legs joined by a shaped apron base, exhibiting traditional mortise-and-tenon construction. The interior features a single shelf. Approx. 46 in. H, 39 in. W, 20 in. D Condition: Significant age wear, surface craquelure, losses to lacquer, and edge abrasions; stable overall with warm aged patina.
