Carved Maori Tiki Pendant, New Zealand, Mid-20th Century - Finely carved pendant or plaque in traditional Maori tiki form, rendered in dense bone or hard composite material. The surface features deeply incised spiral motifs, notched ridges, and pierced elements typical of Maori ornamentation, with stylized facial detailing and inlaid eyes. The tiki form is symbolic of protection and fertility in Maori culture. 5 ¾ in. H, 3 ½ in. W Condition: Excellent overall with light wear and age patina; minor surface discoloration from handling.
