Pre-Columbian Polychrome Pedestal Bowl, Central America, ca. 800–1200 CE - A fine hand-built terracotta bowl raised on a flaring pedestal foot, painted in red and black slip with stylized abstract motifs to the interior and exterior. The design features a central serpent or zoomorphic figure surrounded by geometric panels and wavy border bands. Likely from the Nicoya or Veraguas cultural zone. Approx. 5 in. H, 9 in. dia. Condition: Surface wear, minor chips and abrasions, losses to painted decoration; overall well-preserved with good archaeological patina.
