Pair of Continental Porcelain Floral Spill Vases with Gilt Encrustation, 19th Century - Elegant pair of Continental porcelain vases, each richly decorated with applied and molded leafy scroll handles and exuberant foliate rims, lavishly highlighted in burnished parcel-gilt. The ovoid bodies feature hand-painted floral bouquets in vibrant polychrome enamels, framed by applied blossoms and trailing leaves. Both vases retain their original glazed interiors and are impressed “1001” to the underside. A striking matched pair with impressive presence and sculptural detailing. 17 in. High, 9.5 in. Wide Condition: Overall very good considering age; scattered expected rubbing to gilt, minor firing separations on applied elements, and small typical losses to raised foliage; no major restorations observed.
