Gerald Curry Chippendale Style Highboy, 20th century - Outstanding custom-crafted highboy or chest-on-chest in the Chippendale style, attributed to master cabinetmaker Gerald Curry. Constructed in richly grained solid mahogany, the piece features an upper case with molded cornice above five graduated drawers, all fitted with quality brass batwing pulls, over a lower case with long and short drawers, shaped apron, and cabriole legs ending in pad feet. The workmanship, figured veneers, and dovetailed joinery reflect hand craftsmanship of high order, likely produced circa 1950s–1970s. Retains its original working key. Approximately 76 in. high, 40 in. wide, 20 in. deep. Condition: Excellent condition with only minor surface marks; finely polished finish with strong grain and color.
