Tiger Oak Carved China Cabinet, Circa 1900, Attributed to R.J. Horner - A finely carved tiger oak china cabinet attributed to R.J. Horner & Co., New York, circa 1900, crafted in boldly figured quarter-sawn oak and displaying the sculptural carving and robust proportions associated with Horner’s finest work. The cabinet features a stepped cornice over double glass doors, opening to four graduated interior shelves with mirrored back. The sides are framed by deeply carved scrolling supports with acanthus plumes, terminating in powerful claw-and-ball paw feet, classic Horner design elements. Retains original glass, period hardware, and a faded maker’s label shadow on the back consistent with Horner’s paper tags. 64 in. H, 44 in. W, 16 in. D. Condition: Very good, sturdy overall; expected age wear and surface marks; minor touch-ups to finish; interior clean; glass panels undamaged; doors align and close properly.
