Carved Mahogany Canterbury, Mid-19th Century - Mid-19th century carved mahogany canterbury, likely English or American, featuring elegant ribbon and wreath carving to the front panel and finely turned corner posts topped with finials. The upper section with four divisions for sheet music or periodicals, over a single dovetailed drawer fitted with brass knob pull, raised on turned legs with brass cup casters. The piece exhibits warm, well-figured mahogany and excellent craftsmanship. 24 in. H, 19 in. W, 16 in. D. Condition: Retains an old surface with scattered small veneer chips and age wear; minor separation to drawer front and typical nicks to edges; casters appear original and functional. Overall sturdy and attractive, showing fine period workmanship.
