Victorian Burled Walnut Sewing Table, 19th Century - Handsome Victorian burled walnut sewing table featuring a well-figured, bookmatched top with line inlay, above a fitted interior concealed beneath the hinged lid. The interior includes divided compartments and a central lift-out writing slope with tooled leather surface, over a slide-out drawer and deep lower bin designed for thread and work materials. Raised on a finely carved pedestal support with foliate-carved cabriole legs ending in original white porcelain casters. 29 in. H, 22 in. W, 16 in. D. Condition: Wear, scratches, and discoloration to top surface; age cracks and veneer losses in areas; interior leather worn at corners; base sturdy with typical age patina; overall structurally good and highly decorative.
